Book Blurb:

Make-up artist to the stars. The favorite aunt. Dance teacher. Baby sister. Talented musician and song-writer.

Single.

Why did that word rank above the rest? Helen loved her family and understood they wanted her to have the real love they’d all found. It’s just that she’d found her someone special and learned to live without him. She’d been too young for the quirky, idealistic doctor-off to save the world-to notice. And, really, if she had it her way, he’d never know how she’d felt. Now, he was one of her best friends, a pen pal, losing him would be too much.

Seeing him at their parents wedding, Helen realizes the horrible truth: she still loves Joseph… which wouldn’t be so bad if she wasn’t in the situation she was in.

But she was. And her secret will change everything.

Will it destroy hope for a Hollywood happy ending too?

Finding your voice as an author… that’s a tricky topic. I admit, I’m not 100% confident in my writing so I worry over voice. I think I’m finding my groove and I’m realizing that voice can vary with the book/series you’re writing.

My contemporary stuff is first person. And boy has that earned me some not-so-nice reviews and critiques. I know it’s not entirely mainstream for adult contemporary romance to be first person, but Claire, Jen, and Helen were very real to me. Being in their head was the best way to experience their story. While all three of them are the kind of woman I’d want as a friend, they’re unique and wonderful in their own way. My hope for readers when they read the Red Carpet Series books - warm fuzzies, an occasional fire in the belly, moments of sincere emotion, some laughter, and a delightfully fulfilling ending.

Loves of Olympus, my mythology based series, is a completely different writing and reading experience. Some of my fans love the Red Carpet books and were furious with me over the first LoO book. I admit, these characters are far more tormented but if you know Greek Mythology, you know happy endings are few and far between. I try to stick as close to the myths as possible so I can’t guarantee a happy ending. I hope that the books have a worthy and satisfying conclusion.

My Sci-Fi is different again. I’ve only written the one novella, but I have big plans for Leo, Riley, and the crew… When I have time to continue their space adventures.

I guess it’s the Gemini in me? Having different genres gives me the opportunity to have a different voice now and then--keeping me creative and productive.

THANK YOU so much for hosting me today! :)

About the Author

Sasha is part gypsy. Born June 9, 1974, stories have always played an important role in her life. Her passions have always been storytelling, Hollywood, history, and travel. It’s no surprise that her books include a little of each. Her first play, ‘Greek Gods and Goddesses’ was written for her Girl Scout troupe. She’s been writing ever since. She loves getting lost in the worlds and characters she creates; even if she frequently forgets to run the dishwasher or wash socks when she’s doing so. Luckily, her four brilliant children and hero-inspiring hubby are super understanding and supportive.
